POSITION STATEMENT

The Mortgage Loan Set Up Coordinator performs detailed data gathering and documentation of first mortgage loan applications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Assembly 100%

Organizes and assembles documentation in compliance with FHA, VA, FHLMC and FNMA requirements;

Reviews entire loan file for check list verification of initial documents;

Enters loan file data into computerized processing system;

Orders all initial setup documents, appraisals, and preliminary title and escrow requirements;

Prepares written verifications and correspondence required for file documentation;

Communicates verbally or in writing with applicants, loan officers, and vendors to expedite file documentation.

Expedites the return of all information and documents to complete file for submission to processor;

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Working knowledge of FHA, VA, FNMA and FHLMC underwriting guidelines;

Skill in the operation of a personal computer to include Internet/Intranet, operating system, word processor, calendar, and scheduling software;

Skill in the operation of standard mortgage processing software;

Ability to keyboard accurately;

Ability to coordinate a variety of duties simultaneously and prioritize multiple tasks;

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing;

Ability to lift 25 pounds;

Ability to train other employees utilizing a training plan and current procedures;

Ability to maintain regularly scheduled attendance;

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; and

Must be able to relate appropriately to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions: (a) can get along with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes; (b) perform work activities requiring negotiating, instruction, and communicating with others; and (c) respond appropriately to constructive feedback from a supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma or GED equivalent and one year government and conventional loan processing experience preferred.
